Fool is an interesting man. I modelled the head in hard sculptors wax. Then I took a silicone rubber mould and cast a master pattern in polyester resin. This makes a hard working pattern that can be further smoothed and worked to allow moulds to be taken from it without any damage if required. I then painted the head with artist acrylics and when dry I dipped the whole head in clear melted candlewax. this gives the head a natural semi-translucence mimicking a skin effect.
I carved and painted the hands in wood and made a stiff wire armature to support him. A simple sown white gown and a circular wooden base completes the enigmatic Fool... 18' tall
