This was one of the first drawings that I did without any form of source image. I was so intent to start something but couldn't find any suitably inspiring starting image that I just started scribbling. I went with what the scribbles resembled and just embellished them. When I had the besic landscape and most of the branches were in place, I dragged an eraser over the shaded areas to form the rays of light... one of my first pieces that someone actually wanted to buy from me rather than me trying to persuade them to buy it. Very satisfying!
